When I Grow Up
What do kids want to be when they grow up? I surveyed one class from each grade at a local elementary school. This playful application allows users to see their responses, as well as sort them by profession category, and visualize age and gender differences among the group.
Design Process
For this project I went to a local elementary school to find out what children want to be when they grow up. I went around to one classroom from each grade (kindergarten through 5th) and asked the children what they want to be when they grow up, taking note of their gender and age. I spoke to each of the younger students individually, writing down their responses exactly how they said them. With the older students I passed out cards for them to fill out.
